László was admitted to the intensive care unit with severe pneumonia and a coronavirus infection. He accepted the treatment, but refused to be put on a ventilator. His pulmonologist told him afterwards that he did not believe that they would still be talking to each other after two years.
Subsequently, one of his vertebrae collapsed, and he lost so much weight that his body used up the muscle fiber reserves. He also contracted a bacterial infection that filled his lungs with pus.
Today, however, he feels that things are moving in the right direction; he is working again, and has started to put on some weight again. His back pain has also disappeared.
