Hajnalka’s partner suffered from untreated high blood pressure which unfortunately resulted in a brain stem hemorrhage in 2020 and a comatose state in the hospital. János subsequently regained consciousness, but medical experts said that he would only live his life in a vegetative state. After the head of the family returned home, the family could only see hopelessness ahead. But then they discovered ‘You know what’. Following this, János’s condition began to improve spectacularly. Today, he can participate in family life again; he can even help to cook and peel potatoes! He is no longer fed through a stomach tube, and can sit at the dining table and pick out delicious snacks as his ability to swallow and his vision have returned. Hajnalka feels they are a family once more. They can discuss tasks and solve problems together as a family now. Hajnalka feels that something wonderful is happening to their lives after such a serious tragedy.
