Attila could no longer move due to a disease affecting his myelin, and his vision had gone – today he is playing sports again and feels great

The myelin sheath, which covers nerve fibers like a protective sheath, plays an important role in the rapid and efficient transmission of nerve impulses. Diseases affecting myelin are conditions in which the myelin sheath of nerve cells is damaged or destroyed. If the myelin sheath is damaged, the nervous system cannot function properly, which can lead to various, even very serious neurological symptoms. Due to the breakdown of myelin, Attila could no longer move, he could not get out of bed. He also had constant bone pain, and his vision began to deteriorate.

According to the current medical science, rebuilding myelin is not possible. After an examination, doctors gave Attila three months to live. That was more than two years ago.

Attila has since managed to get out of bed, is playing sports again, moving around, and his vision has also returned to normal.
