Valéria struggled with a rheumatic condition for 32 years. In 1990, she contracted lyme desease due to a tick bite which severely affected her joints. It was later determined that her condition had turned into an autoimmune disease. She was very scared after noticing that she was unable to use her limbs as much as before.
