Valeria 32 yıldır romatizmal hastalıkla mücadele ediyordu. 1990 yılında kene ısırığı nedeniyle Lyme enfeksiyonuna yakalandı ve sonrasında eklemleri harap oldu. Daha sonra sorunun otoimmün bir hastalığa dönüştüğü belirlendi. Uzuvlarını artık kullanamayacağını anlayınca çok korktu.

Valéria, 2 ay boyunca şifalı mantarları kullandıktan sonra elleriyle daha iyi tutabildiğini, bacaklarının daha az acıdığını hissediyor. Baş dönmesi gitti ve daha fazla enerjik. Bugünlerde bahçeyle uğraşmayı seviyor ve bisikletine binmeye cesaret ediyor.
