Attila’s toes had to be amputated because of his latent diabetes

Attila felt unusually tired in October. Two weeks later, one morning, he woke up to find a dark patch on his foot. The hospital found that his blood sugar level was very high although e was not aware of it. Diabetes had developed insidiously, and all the toes on his right foot had to be amputated due to tissue necrosis. His doctors were surprised by Attila’s mental strength and fresh wound healing, as tissue regeneration is usually a very slow process for diabetics. A couple of weeks ago, he was able to stop taking insulin with medical permission.
