The Dajka boys, who have been suffering from severe epilepsy attacks in the past, are showing further improvement

Bence is 12 years old, his younger brother Gergő is 11. They were born with genetic disorders. Both have been suffering from severe epilepsy attacks since an early age. Bence had a serious heart failure recently after one attack.

The young boy suffered oxygen deprivation when his heart stopped for about 10 minutes. Bence spent 5 days in intensive care at the hospital on life support. His condition was critical in the first couple of days. When he left the hospital, he couldn’t walk, he wasn’t even able to move, he couldn’t lift his head. They had to move him around in a stroller and he went through a 3-month-long rehabilitation process.

The parents experienced a significant improvement in his condition after they started using C-peptide. Bence hasn’t had any epilepsy attacks since then, even though he had regular larger and smaller attacks previously. He has started walking again after 3 weeks and his therapists couldn’t believe their own eyes when Bence entered the rehabilitation centre on his own two legs.

Gergő also had numerous epilepsy attacks before. They managed to achieve a period without attacks with the help of medication 3-4 years ago and now the doctors are considering to stop with the medications. The most surprising thing is maybe that even Gergős’s speach development has started and he is more and more able to communicate. He hardly spoke earlier, now he is able to form words more and more consciously and understands what others tell him.
